When I saw Jen Jockisch's idea for using up buttons and brads, I was instantly inspired to create one for myself. It's fun and therapeutic to do a crafty project like this. I made this to put in my daughter's room. The thing I love about this project is the versatility. You could make this neutral or masculine just by changing button colors. Here is my take... tfl!
I sooo want to make one of these now!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about it... need to start sorting buttons! You did such a cute job with this, Sherry!
Any ideas on where to get great diverse buttons like this?
ReplyDeleteI bought a bag of buttons from Hobby Lobby (in the scrapbook section.). I also added a few from my stash.
DeleteDid you use hot glue or something else to affix the buttons? Was the "P" just poster board or something thicker?
ReplyDeleteHey, Lisa! I used Helmar's Quick Dry Adhesive. In hind-sight, glue gun would probably be a better choice. The "P" is a thick chipboard letter from Hobby Lobby. :)
