My Oasis

Today I'm sharing a fun layout created for a Two Peas challenge. The challenge was to use a monochromatic color scheme. I chose teal/aqua as my color and thought it would be great to do a layout about my scrap space since the walls are painted Barely Teal (Benjamin Moore). I spend a lot of time here relaxing and creating - it truly is an oasis for me inside our home.

The patterned paper is a perfect backdrop for this layout because of all the shades of aqua. I had the paint chip from decorating my room and decided it would be a fun touch to the layout. For the stamping, I used some old Technique Tuesday stamps along with embossing powders, gelatos, StazOn ink pads, and VersaMagic ink pads. If you haven't tried Heidi Swapp ColorShine, you must - it's absolutely gorgeous and adds the perfect shimmer and texture to a layout. I mixed alpha stickers for my title (Heidi Swapp Clear Pop Mint, Thickers Sketchbook Snippets by SC, and Basic Grey's Micro Monogram).

I put my heart and soul into this hobby, why not document the space that makes it all possible? I've been so busy the last few weeks with school starting and various obligations so I haven't had any time to create. I'm definitely feeling the need to get back into my hobby. Luckily, I'm attending a crop this weekend, so I have some time set aside for it. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

  1. What a lovely page - your background is beautiful and that block is perfectly balanced. You may not have been getting much practice, but your skills are still top notch.

  2. Ohh, okay... I am diggin' this one Miss Sherry! This looks so awesome with the paint chips! Also love the cool lettering you've added to this to highlight the things in your craft room!

Hope you have a great scrappy weekend... I know what you mean. It's been so long for me, I can't even say when the lst time it was that I scrapped. I am really getting the urge!
