My Neglected Blog
I'm sorry I haven't blogged (or scrapped) for a few weeks. May has been a crazy, busy month but thankfully, the end is in sight. One year ago today on a hot, unbearably humid day, I walked into a pool store and asked about having a pool installed. Fast-forward one year and we had our first official family swim yesterday! Here are a few pics of the process.
Although it's been a long journey, it was definitely worth the wait. I'm ready to start scrapping the memories! Happy Memorial Day!

NSD 2013 Challenge
One of the challenges from Cocoa Daisy's NSD celebration was to choose a layout from the Design Team gallery to use as inspiration. I chose Emily's layout "Hello" because I loved the large banner flags and use of vellum. I did a direct scraplift of the design - why reinvent the wheel, right? :) This is my take on the challenge.
The arrow is wood veneer that's been embossed with Zing. I absolutely love how it turned out! This may be my new favorite technique. The challenges are open until May 10th, so it's not too late to join in on the fun.

NSD 2013
Happy National Scrapbooking Day! It's going to be a busy weekend with a soccer tournament, company in town, and trying to participate in some scrappy fun over the weekend. I'm up for the challenge, though.
I'm going to share a layout I lifted from the lovely and talented Marti, a fellow Cocoa Daisy member. This layout represents why scrapping is so important to me. Seasons come and go so quickly, and I love capturing little moments in time to remember always. I love this frame paper by jillibean soup - it was perfect for my four seasons idea.
This is Marti's lovely layout that was my inspiration.
If you're looking for a fun place to hang out and be inspired, come on over to Cocoa Daisy this weekend!
I hope you have a lovely day, whether your scrapping life moments or capturing them, enjoy! ♥
