A Crop + Empty House = Productivity
Sometimes the scrappy stars align and make for the perfect time to create. This past weekend was one of those... I had an empty house and Cocoa Daisy was hosting an online crop. Seriously, how lucky can one girl be? :) The challenges the design team put forth were fabulous and (luckily), my mojo showed up for the party. The weekend was full of chats, fun, inspiration, and general craziness and I loved every second of it! There were 7 challenges offered and so far I've completed 4.

There's nothing like a crafty weekend to feed your creative soul! There is still time to participate in the challenges, so head over here and check them out!

May Madness
I have decided the month of May surpasses December in regards to schedule overload. Thankfully, I survived it and I'm now slowly relaxing into our summer schedule. Even though I didn't have big blocks of time to spend in my scraproom, I still managed to do a few challenges from various sites and want to share them with you today.

I realized that even when I'm pressed for time, it's not that hard to squeeze in a layout or two. Scrapping (for me), is also a stress reliever, so I must scrap for health benefits. :) Challenges are a quick and easy way to get a layout going, if you haven't tried them, you should!

Buttons, Brads, and Bling!
I love the Scrap Your Stash videos on Two Peas. Every week we get a different challenge to actually use our treasured stash. This week's challenge by Paige Evans was to use buttons, brads, and bling as a frame or to frame any shape we choose. Sounds easy enough, right? My choice was a shamrock because my son's birthday is St. Patrick's Day. I cut the shamrock and some additional leaves (hearts) from assorted patterned papers using my Cameo. The fun part of this is gathering all the embellishments and attaching them. I will say that it took quite some time to do this, but it's so worth it in the end.

This was such a fun and relaxing layout to do. It was like a trip down memory lane seeing some embellishments I've had in my stash over ten years! If you're like me and need a push to use up some goodies, be sure to check out the Scrap Your Stash videos - I'm sure you'll be hooked just like me!

Cameo Creation #2!
I promise, I will stop counting after this! There aren't enough words to express my excitement over this machine. :)
This layout was created for Cocoa Daisy's Lotsa Layers Challenge by Mandy. I used several different fonts for the number nine and just love how it turned out!
Such an easy layout and it took just a few minutes to set up. I'm not kidding when I say that the Cameo has rocked my scrap world! ♥
